About the NPC

The National Physique Committee (NPC), founded in 1982 by Jim Manion, has long been the premier amateur bodybuilding organization in the United States. Created after Manion’s departure from the AAU, the NPC became the official amateur affiliate of the IFBB and the launchpad for nearly every American bodybuilder who later earned IFBB Pro status.
